What did you draw?
These are example numbers. Change them to match your syringe and vial.
Use the strength printed on your vial. Units alone do not tell you the mg.
The drawing shows the number you entered. It is not an injection instruction.
Math result
This checks math only. If the mg doesn't match your prescribed dose, stop and check with your pharmacist or prescriber before you inject.
This checks math only. It does not tell you what dose to take.
The math in plain language
The formula
mg = units ÷ 100 × strength (mg/mL)
Example: 10 units at 2.5 mg/mL = 10 ÷ 100 × 2.5 = 0.25 mg.
On a U-100 syringe, 100 units is 1 mL. The vial strength is what connects liquid volume to mg.

Common questions
I drew N units, how many mg is that?
It depends on the strength on your vial. For example, 10 units from a 2.5 mg/mL vial is 0.25 mg. The same 10 units from a 5 mg/mL vial is 0.5 mg.
Is 50 units of semaglutide 0.5 mg?
It depends on the vial strength. At 1 mg/mL, 50 units is 0.5 mg. At 2.5 mg/mL, 50 units is 1.25 mg.
What if my number does not match my prescription?
Stop and check with your pharmacist or prescriber before you inject. Do not adjust the dose yourself.
What does 1 unit mean on a U-100 syringe?
One U-100 unit is 0.01 mL. It is a liquid volume mark, not a fixed amount of medicine in mg.
Can this calculator tell me what dose to take?
No. It checks the math for units you already drew. Your prescribed dose and your vial label decide what you should use.
