The Mounjaro label now lists six strengths in single-dose 0.5 mL pens or vials. It also lists 2.4 mL multi-dose vials and KwikPens, which give four 0.6 mL doses.

Single-dose and four-dose forms
The single-dose pen and single-dose vial come in 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15 mg per 0.5 mL. The multi-dose vial and the KwikPen (for one person only) hold 2.4 mL and give four doses of 0.6 mL. They hold 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 mg in total per 2.4 mL. That works out to 4.17, 8.33, 12.5, 16.7, 20.8 or 25 mg per mL.
For a vial, the label (prescribing information) gives the example of a 1 mL syringe that can measure a 0.5 or 0.6 mL dose. It says to use a new syringe and needle every time. Having several forms isn’t a reason to switch to a different one. Go by the exact label you have.

Dose increases, injection sites and missed doses
The Mounjaro label starts at 2.5 mg once a week. If blood sugar needs more control, the dose goes up by 2.5 mg after at least 4 weeks on the current dose. The most for adults is 15 mg a week. For children 10 years and older, the most is 10 mg a week. This is what the label says, not a recommendation to change your treatment.
The label lists the belly (abdomen) or thigh. The back of the upper arm is only for when someone else gives the injection. It says to switch spots with each dose. If you miss a dose, you can take it as soon as you can within 4 days (96 hours). If more than 4 days have passed, skip it. You can change your injection day as long as doses are at least 72 hours apart.
How to store it
Keep single-dose pens and vials in the fridge at 2–8 °C (36–46 °F). They can be kept out of the fridge at 30 °C (86 °F) or below for a total of 21 days, then thrown away. Throw away multi-dose vials and KwikPens after 30 days at room temperature, 30 days after first use, or four weekly doses, whichever comes first, even if there’s medicine left. Each form has its own storage time limits on the label.
